The Prayer Collective

The Prayer Collective is an annual publication, produced by SBI in partnership with the Office of Community Engagement and Alumni Relations at McCormick Theological Seminary. The publication was born during COVID-19 with the purpose of providing students in the SBI Certificate program with spiritual resources as they faced the pandemic behind bars. It includes creative expressions of many types from the McCormick community and students at the jail. This year's Prayer Collective has been organized with the World Christian Student Federation (WCSF), a network of nearly 100 student movements. The WCSF will host a conference on September 15-18, 2022 at Princeton University in which our incarcerated students' work will be featured.

The theme for the 2022 Prayer Collective is “A New Heaven and New Earth.” We encourage you to send us creative submissions of written prayers, poems, drawings, devotions or spiritual practices, or any form of expression that resonates with you. Submissions will be accepted through this form until December 31, 2022. For more information, please email gokerson@mccormick.edu.
