Alonzo Waheed

Alonzo Lee Waheed Sr. is an SBI partner and community collaborator. Alonzo has assisted in co-creating learning communities that promote holistic healing for incarcerated students, formerly incarcerated people and co-conspirators committed to dismantling the carceral system.  

He is the Founder of Gate Keepers NFP and the Organizing Director of Equity And Transformation Gate Keepers is a Chicago-based, non-profit organization whose existence is devoted to the betterment of men. Its team of dedicated staff works tirelessly to eradicate violence and negative behavior among men within the Chicago land area. His role with E A.T has allowed him to build social and economic equity for black workers engaged in the informal economy. Through the application of structured organizing E A.T builds sustainable alternatives to harmful state solutions
